Quality Management Systems

AMANCO Company is implementing and complies with ISO 9001:2008 and international standards to meet contractual and regulatory requirements. The policy of AMANCO is to deliver products and services to the client in conformance with contract requirements; on time, and free of defect. For this purpose AMANCO has developed and maintained a Quality Management System (QMS) covering engineering, procurement, and construction in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 standards. The ISO uses a Quality Manual, Quality System Procedures, and Quality Plans document.

Quality Manual

The Quality Manual Includes:

  • # Quality Policy, objectives and the scope of the QMS.
  • # Documented Procedures and processes for managing our operations and activities are established in the QMS.
  • # Brief description of the interaction between the procedures of the QMS.

Project Quality Statement

In compliance with ISO 9001:2008, and our corporate Policy statement on quality, AMANCO management is committed to adopt the Quality requirements during the execution of all phases of the Project executed by AMANCO.

The aim of the Quality Management Systems is to ensure that all contractual and specification requirements are met for the project executed by AMANCO and to achieve a reliable system of management concerning all activities.

The Quality Management Systems is applicable to the projects executed by AMANCO including design, development, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning training and servicing.

Our Quality Assurance and Quality Control department is independent from the other departments of the company and is headed by the QA/QC Manager. Furthermore, the QA/QC Manager reports directly to the General Manager of the company. It is our believe that the achievement of the Quality requirements is the responsibility of all personnel involved in the project execution not solely that of QA/QC personnel.

The Management has recently launched the ISO Certification Program. The QA/QC Manager has the full authority and support of the project management to implement the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and other specific project quality plan and procedures.

Quality System Procedures

The Quality System Procedures are a compilation of interrelated and interacting procedures written to reflect the management system that we currently use. The corporate quality manual is applicable to all business units. Furthermore, the procedures are drawn out for use in developing the business unit quality plans.

Quality Plan

In addition to QMS, AMANCO develops quality plans specific for each project as per ISO 10005 (Quality Management: Guidelines for quality and/or environment management systems auditing) is carried out to ensure implementation of project plan.

Project quality plans, work instructions and inspection and test plans spell out the requirements of the project and lays down which company procedures are to be used to program and control the works of the project.

Qa/qc Personnel

The main function of QA/QC personnel is to monitor installation activities, perform inspection and testing, and ensure that products and services meet specified requirements. QA/QC personnel will take adequate measures to ensure implementation of Project Quality Plan. QA/QC personnel are not directly responsible for execution of work and they report to the Corporate QA Manager at the head office.

AMANCO shall determine the level of experience and training necessary to ensure the capability of personnel to identify quality factors affecting the project or processes on a planned and timely basis. Special training is given to construction personnel in all matters related to Project Quality Plans.

Audit & Testing Agencies

An independent accredited certification company certifies AMANCO’s QMS documentation and implementation is compliant with the requirements at periodic intervals. Internal auditing as per ISO 19011 (Guidelines for quality and environment management systems auditing) of the QMS is performed on regular basis, for the purpose of continual improvement. Project Quality Plans is the basic reference document for internal auditing of specific project. AMANCO subcontracts third party testing agencies to do independent testing for qualification of special process and certification of personnel in accordance with applicable international standards.
